Meet odd’sea
Odd’sea (pronounced odyssey) is a 29’ grahame SHannon amazon 29 steel pilothouse sailboat. She’s a 1 of 1 designed and built right here in Vancouver. Being a custom built sailboat, she offers many features that production boats of the time didn’t. her layout is closer to that of modern cruising sailboats and because of her steel construction she has a very open layout. most sailboats of the era (mid 1980’s) feel like a cave below deck, but the cabin in odd’sea is bright and spacious, with a nearly 360° view outwards.
B.O.a.T. - bring out another thousand
when i found her, she had just been splashed after sitting on the hard getting her hull fixed and painted. it was clear that she’d been neglected for years. the designer, mr. shannon himself, would later tell me that the last time he saw her she was looking pretty rough. i knew she needed a ton of work, much of which i could do myself, but i couldn’t deny her potential. stay tuned to this page, and witness her glow-up!
a local legend
the one and only amazon 29 built right here in the 1980’s by dieter pollack from a grahame shannon design. a single amazon 35 was built, a long with a number of 37s and 44s, one of which deiter pollack would chose to circumavigate the globe in.

I’ll be taking 6 guests at the most per trip. Potentially more if we are camping too.

I can give a basic intro if anyone onboard wants to learn a bit. I might offer courses in the future.

Yes! I am working with a couple places to provide us with food. The goal is to get some sponsorships to keep costs affordable for everyone
